In this immersive and high-energy workshop, participants will step into the world of the Competing Values Framework through The Innovation Code Card Game. Based on the work of Jeff and Staney DeGraff, this experiential session helps teams and individuals understand the often-conflicting values that drive innovation, collaboration, control and competition within organizations.

Instead of telling participants how innovation works, we’ll show them—by getting everyone moving, choosing, trading and reflecting. Using kinesthetic and interactive materials like card game, and card game questions, teams will explore their own preferred work styles, understand where tension and opportunity arise in their organizations and discover practical strategies for navigating those tensions to spark change and innovation.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the four innovation archetypes: Collaborate (Incubate), Create (Imagine), Control (Improve), and Compete (Invest) by physically moving into quadrants and engaging with others. This session reveals how different approaches can both clash and complement—and why innovation demands a blend of all four.

Whether you're a facilitator or frontline leader, this session will leave you with clear actionable steps that will enable you to decode your team and organization and give you tools to co-create environments where innovation thrives.

Takeaways:

Learn how to identify and leverage your own innovation archetype. Understand the dynamics of competing values in teams and organizations. Gain practical tools to help teams align practices with desired outcomes. Discover how to integrate divergent perspectives to fuel innovation.
