No matter what our role – facilitator, coach, instructor, ISD, visual practitioner, or consultant – we’ll all eventually meet that one client that makes us want to run the other direction and makes us ask, “Is this (engagement) really worth it?” We’ll find that person or organization that tests our patience, our goodwill, and our sanity – and may even test our moral boundaries. This workshop is a highly interactive session that will draw on the wisdom in the room to hold a conversation to 1) share our most horrifying stories and define the challenging clients we have faced (build connection and empathy), 2) harvest suggestions and best practices on handling difficult clients (share solutions), and 3) create a catalog of actions the practitioner can take to maintain their professionalism and mental stability, while staying true to self, in dealing with a client.
